The challenge is to make impossible things possible
Chapter 5 - Pitfall of lubrication process.
This completes the process assuming mass production. It's time for the hard work of over a year to be finally rewarded. At that time, Nakamura's eyes were blurry. To improve slippage of the molded product, lubricating chemical was applied to the surface but after that, the surface was damaged, and finished part was slightly scratched.
In the case of conventional cold forging, there was no problem if chemicals were treated at normal temperature. But this time it was different. Takeyama, in charge of forging, first changed the medicine. Next, He tried to raise temperature of tank that processes drug and then situation has improved.
It has been over a year since start of development activities that seemed easy at first step. Cold forging is meaningless if it can not guarantee 100% quality in mass production. This world is a strict manufacturing world which mean "one failure means 1000 failures". In the world which perfection is always realized, and the spirit of challenger will breathes in those circumstances.
